Process:

I work from sheet music, MIDI, or by ear—interpreting pre-composed melodies, creating original vocal lines and lyrics, and recording both solo vocals and layered harmonies. Improvisation and ad libs are often part of my process.

With a Berklee College of Music degree and a foundation in classical piano, global vocal traditions and world instruments, I bring strong melodic intuition and a rich palette of vocal colors and ornaments.

I write and sing in English, French, Russian, Mongolian, and Spanish—and have performed in over a dozen other languages, including Portuguese, Quechua, Mandarin, Japanese, Hebrew, Xhosa, Bulgarian, Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu.
